From a young age, I have been fascinated by digital design and taught myself the basics of various software programs. After completing secondary school, I pursued my passion by enrolling in a graphic design course, where I deepened my understanding of design theory and further honed my software skills.
After completing my Graphic Design course, I continued my education by enrolling in a university programme, where I expanded my knowledge and discovered a passion for 2D animation. During my time at university, I networked with experienced professionals to gain a better understanding of design in the real world.
After completing my university programme, I secured my first design job at a small start-up company, where I was the sole designer responsible for creating 2D animations, brand design, and UI/UX design. Working at a small start-up provided me with valuable experience in a design role, but I felt that my growth was limited as the only designer on the team. I wanted to continue learning and improving my skills, so I decided to seek new opportunities.
I relocated to London and joined a large design agency, where I had the opportunity to work with various departments and learn from many talented senior designers. My primary focus was on Activision, where I utilized my motion design skills to create content for their Call of Duty social media pages in 13 different markets.
After returning to Birmingham, I joined the marketing team of a large telecommunications company as an in-house designer. My role involved creating promotional artwork to increase sales, and this experience gave me valuable insights into the operations of an in-house design team.
I joined MSX International as a contractor and was assigned to the digital learning team at Jaguar Land Rover as a Digital Learning Developer. In this role, I utilized my skills in 2D and 3D animation to create engaging learning content for retailers. It was during this time that I developed a growing interest in videography.
After working as a contractor at MSX International for a year, I was brought in-house full-time on the digital learning team at Jaguar Land Rover. I was given a newly created role as the Video and Animation Developer, where I participated in video shoots and created 2D and 3D animations.
